A quick search of the UK VOSA web site will give you confirmation details of licence. Other useful indicators are the number of vehicles that a company can put on the road and trailers. A trailer is misleading, as many companies have vehicle plus trailer but do not have drivers' with a licence to operate one! Margin is important because if there isn't any, should a vehicle break down an operator cannot legally go out and rent a replacement to finish the job. They have to wait for the original vehicle to become roadworthy again. All this means delay and it could be your household effects in the back.
